Submit an Event

The First Nations House of Learning's student newsletter, The Talking Stick, is published weekly during Winter Session (Sep-Apr). To have your UBC Vancouver Indigenous-related event considered for publication during this time, please fill out this form.

The deadline is Thursday end-of-day for distribution the following Monday. Earlier submissions are strongly recommended, however.

FNHL determines the final copy and placement of all submissions.

  • Enter all relevant event location information, i.e. building name, room number, full address, and any special directions (e.g. location, driving, parking).
  • e.g. Aboriginal students, staff and/or faculty
  • If there is no event cost, enter "free".
  • If the event information is online, provide the full URL address here.
  • Provide the event coordinator's name, email and telephone number. This information may be included in the event listing.
