UBC Counselling Services

As an Indigenous student you have a lot of choices in seeking professional and culturally relevant counselling support at UBC. Highly trained counsellors are available. An Indigenous counsellor is on staff, and other counsellors with other backgrounds and specialties are available to meet with you to talk about your concerns or to make referrals to off-campus resources. So if you’re feeling persistently stressed, anxious, or sad, you are encouraged to access UBC Counselling Services.

To schedule an appointment, call 604-822-3811, or visit UBC Counselling Services. There you will also find other resources, including information for off-campus services and 24-hour support.

Health & Wellbeing

A healthy mind, body, and spirit are foundations for students to achieve their personal and academic goals.

UBC provides a number of resources to help maintain your physical health and wellbeing. Check out the Student Services site for information on everything you need to get started in the right direction. There you will find, among other things, information on the Wellness Centre, where you can chat with a trained student about health-related questions, managing stress, studying, or navigating life as a student. You will also find information on how to access a doctor or, if necessary, a Sexual Violence Response Specialist.
