On Saturday, November 26th, the First Nations House of Learning hosted a graduation celebration at the First Nations Longhouse to honour participating Indigenous graduates from the Fall 2022 class, including participating graduates from the Class of 2020 and 2021, who due to COVID-19 protection measures had missed out on an in-person event.
The event saw Indigenous students walking through the Longhouse’s ceremonial door into Sty-Wet-Tan Great Hall, whereupon each was acknowledged by a large gathering of families and supporters as having transformed from student to graduate.
Afterward, each graduate was honoured for successfully completing their academic programs, and were given the opportunity to individually thank their supporters.
